Tehnologia LightScribe
 In anul 2005 compania americana Hewlett Packard (HP) a lansat pe piata noua tehnologie LightScribe. Prin aceasta se pot creea etichete direct pe fata discului, cu ajutorul laserului, in aceeasi unitate in care are loc si inscrierea datelor. Unitatea de inscriptionare trebuie sa contina si facilitatea LightScribe (sigla afisata pe frontul unitatii) iar discul (cd-r, dvd+/-r) este special fabricat pentru aceasta tehnologie. Discul are, pe fata pentru etichetare, o depunere speciala, sensibila termic, a carei culoare se modifica sub actiunea razei laser. Se pot realiza orice imagini si text, in nuante de gri pe fond auriu. Discul se intoarce in unitatea de inscriptionare, pe o fata sau alta, in functie de operatia ce se executa - etichetare sau inscriere de date. Datele de pe disc pot fi scrise sau citite si in orice alta unitate obisnuita cd-r, dvd+/-rw. | |
